AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT CONTACT-TRACING APP

The Federal Government’s COVIDSafe App is now available, and should work on almost all Apple (iOS) and Android mobile phones.

By quickly notifying users of possible exposure, it should allow outbreaks to be limited before they begin to spread widely. If this proves successful, it will enable social distancing restrictions to be reduced more quickly.

The COVIDSafe app helps find close contacts of COVID-19 cases. It speeds up the currently manual process of alerting people who have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19. This means you’ll be contacted more quickly if you are at risk. It reduces the chances of you passing on the virus to your family, friends and other people in the community.
